Friday-
We wake up at 4:45am on friday and carry our luggage down and climb into Tanja's moms car and head to the trainstation. and we get into Brussels around 10:...something we kinda forgot to look we were too excited to think about it. We walk outside and the first thing i see is the Sheraton already and was just thinking to myself that it is supposed to be longer away then that. then as we are walking down to the road i look over and see my parents, Tanja and i wave, dad waves back, mom......looking everywhere but where we are LOL (sorry and i love you mom). We say our hellos and head to the hotel, we drop off our stuff and share a Keller bier between the 4 of us, which was hard i think for all 4 of us since we are all use to our own beer. We finish that and slowly head to the Grand Platz. FINALLY i get to find out what Le'Roys is all about along with the Kriek, restaurant was nice and the beer was good but the fact that i'm not that use to fruit flavored beer, i'm in Germany the home of REAL beer, but it was still good and i would drink it again.
So we head back towards the hotel and go to the grill around the corner and have another beer. and then go back to the room and hang out til its time for dinner. so now its time to meet dads new apprentice Darrin(spl?), he was a pretty cool guy and im sure he truly doesnt know what he was in for when he found out he was going to europe with a guy thats old enough to be his dad....if not older, sorry dad. well we sit down and order the drinks and food at the seafood resturant, now maybe an hour later my night ended so you will have to wait for tanja or dad to blog about the rest of the night, all i can say is that trey and i got to see our first hookers in brussels on the way back to the hotel room.
oh i forgot we realized that the camera batt. was empty and we forgot the charger, so onto the back-up, tanjas cell phone for the rest of the trip.
Saturday-
we ofcourse wake up at 7:00-7:30 and watch tv and get dressed around 10 we call mom and dad and wait to go to breakfast. then its off to the harley davidson store, didnt think it was that far away, but still a cool expierience, tanja got the chance to see her dream bike in person, and baby we will have them in the future. we get our gifts and mom and dads shirts, trey got to sit on a bike, if you look close enough you can kinda judge just how low the bike was bc his feet almost touch the floor. We start to head to the atomium and realize the worst just got worse....tanjas phone is now almost dead....but ok i have my charger, so we start to use mom and dads cameras to take pics. we get back and realize that now my phone charger doesnt work so now we have to depend on mom and dads camera!! Tanja, mom, trey, and darren left to go buy chocolate while dad and i tried to change our ticket to an earlier time...well come to find out that cant happen because we did our tickets over Deutsche Bahn(german train system). we meet up again at the Grand Platz and start to drink and wait for dads other friends to come, we were all starting to get hungary so we decided to eat there, i just had a few bites to hold me over for a lil while, trey was starting to get tired and we decided to go back to the hotel. After being back for like 1 hour or so dad and i started to get hungary and not to mention we were almost out of beer, "possible Panic" so we decided to go get beer and food from the resturant around the corner. trey started to pass out and we just set him on mom and dads bed and we ended up staying up til 2 am, mom too!!!
Sunday-
we wake up and thought we had time to wake up half way thru getting dressed the door knocks and its my mom and dad, ready to go to the airport, get to the airport and finally find Delta desk. we drive back, dad and i slept for a couple more hours and then its time to go get something to eat, go back to leroys and then its time to head back to the hotel and say our goodbyes to the rest of the family, send dad on his way and then we check out of the hotel. after doing that we begin the long journey to the hauptbahnhof(main train station) looks like its about 5-6km away. Somehow trey made it the whole way without complaining. it only took like 30mins to get there,kinda surprised and depressed bc we still have like 4.5hrs to wait til our train leaves, we walk thru the whole trainstation and eat dinner at the belgian version of BK and McDonalds, then we go to hagen daez, so i go smoke after that and while im out there this guy comes up and spoke to me in perfect french asking where the taxis were, i told him i speak german and the guy looks at me and goes " taxi, do you understand ttaaaxxxiii" i asked if he speaks english he said yes ofcourse and then i start to tell him how to get there, half way through that he says to me"you speak pretty damn good english" i laughed and said "thats because im american", the dude laughs now too and says "im from Canada" and then i finished telling him and my smoke, tanja and trey went walking around a lil bit, then i read trey some of his book"streufelpeter"(spl?) and was telling him the story about the kid that leans in his chair at the dinner table, and the kid that wont eat his soup anymore, like 2mins after that trey started flipping out,bc of the hot choclate and ice cream, and poked himself in the eye with the book. finally we start our train ride back, trey like 20mins falls asleep, we stop and wait for out hour long train from the last train station in belgium to aachen. OH MY GOD!!!!! this small 1930 or so train with only 2 cars shows up and its about the time frame of our train to aachen, we ask and find out its our train, tanja and i just looked at eachother, i laughed my fear out and tanja just showed it with every noise we heard. we get to aachen and call tanjas mom and ask if they could pick us up at Frankfurt bc we see no need to wait 3-4 hrs when your only 30mins away by car. we get on the train to koln and on to frankfurt. Trey was asleep almost the whole time, we get off the ICE train and see tanjas mom and her boyfriend, Trey wakes up, didnt really want to walk but he just had to push thru it.
ALL IN ALL THE TRIP WAS GREAT AND I KNOW TANJA AND TREY HAD A BLAST, TREY STILL SAYS "CHRIS I LOVE YOUR MOM AND SHE IF BEAUTIFUL" cant wait to do this again, either in germany or in the states. We love you guys

so we take a break go get another beer, and smoke which was kinda our inside joke that we were all passing the olympic torch ourselves because lighters and matches werent allowed in the park but once you see someone with a lit cig or cigar then you are drown towards them and well then one thing leads to another and everyone that smokes gets to smoke and ofcourse just like the olympic torch there are people from all over the world that want to smoke too. 
netherlands is in the orange and blue and sweden is in the blue and black. 
so we take another break to get another beer, no im not an alcoholic i am just my fathers son lol!!
then you have to put the filling in and pinch it, of course it took my dad about 15-20secs since it was his first time and it took candy´s mom all of maybe 5secs.
then you set them on the resting board, dad what was it made of again?
then you boil them 2 or 3 times once they boil you throw in a lil cold water, boil and repeat.
and now this is the fruits of `our labor´lol ok well maybe just my dads, candy, and her mothers. but hey i was the camera man while all this was going on.
so now i get done looking at this and our driver who is muslim i found out was going to take me to the mosque there, well i found out he took me to the biggest muslim district in beijing and to the #1mosque in beijing, the only thing was that well with the olympics it was closed so the muslim athlets could pray still, i told Mr. Ma that maybe in november he can take me there and i should be able to get pics of this place again from the inside.
so anyways here we are walking the wall and for 2 soldiers it shouldnt be a problem right?, WRONG 1 hour of walking the wall and my legs were thru thankgod we took a break at the top for about 30-45mins drinking our victory beers at the end of the wall!
if you look at the pic above you can see the building at the very top of the hill that is our stopping point little did we know we would be forced to stop there anyways because that is the end of the wall.
ok so we had our beer and now its time to head back down where our driver was waiting for us, i turned around and saw this view and the first thing out of my mouth was"holy s*i* did we really hike up that and now we have to go down it"
